Arrived on schedule. Appeared to be brand new, not a return. Was shipped in perfectly fitted box, inside padded envelope.Bought the gold colored case for my gold 1673 iPad - matches perfectly. Received this three days ago so can't report on its durability, but it is very similar to my first case that lasted nearly four years with extensive use. I am actually more pleased with the features of this new case.Back cover: semi-flexible, with flexible silicon edge that wraps around the entire iPad edge and just barely over the front of the iPad to protect it. My iPad has a stiff glass protector shield that the case fits over as well. The edges are a little thicker than some cases but will provide better protection. There are tiny silicon "feet" at each corner on the back that will keep the back from making contact with a desk surface, offering scratch protection for both the case and furniture. Being silicon, the the "feet" grip a flat surface and keep the iPad in place while typing on it. The case is easy to put on and remove, yet stays in place very well. Openings in the case case:> Single rectangle for each set of top speaker holes> Series of small squares for bottom speaker holes that don't perfectly line up but allow speakers to be adequately exposed.> Large enough square to easily plug in headphones> Rectangle that exposes camera lens, focus sensor, and light> Oval for microphone> Rectangle for volume buttons, large enough for large fingers to easily operate> Rectangle for charging port that allows easy access> Three other openings that I assume are for access to features in different places on other model iPads> The on/off button is covered by the silicon edge but easy to operate.Flip cover: Arrived already attached, although the seller's video makes it appear the cover comes separate. I have not removed it but will do so if using the iPad as a camera for an extended period of time. Very handy feature for that. The pen holder is an inch wide loop of elastic stiched in place. Past experience makes me wonder if the stitching might eventually pull out if used often. The cover adheres well to the iPad and the magnetic on/off feature works well, inspite of the bottom part of the case wrapping over the edges to the front. The magnetic part is about 3/4" wide wrapping around the entire edge of the cover except for two inches across the top of the middle section (maybe there is something inside the iPad there that should not have magnetic contact?). (NOTE: If the magnetic on/off feature isn't working on your iPad, make sure it is activated in your settings : Settings > Display and Brightness > Lock/Unlock > slide switch to ON). The outside of the front has the appearance of fine grain leather. The inside appears to be microfiber, rather "velvety". The two are stitched together all the way around. My last case was glued together, and eventually separated around the edges. The flap that connects the top to the case backing is also stitched to the top. When the top is folded open to be used as a stand, the iPad stays in place quite well - both in the verticle position and the horizontal position.Overall, the case seems very well made, and is a great price for the quality.
