After looking for a keyboard case for my iPad 4 (retina display) for so long and researching so many different companies, this one was by far the winner. I tried out some in stores like Best Buy but Amazon had the best prices as well, with free shipping!Pros:- Makes my iPad as functional as a laptop. Now that Word, Excel and PowerPoint are available for the iPad, having a keyboard is SO handy. My old laptop was SO heavy and essentially broken, so I used a internet app that worked with Flash, and I basically had no need for a laptop the entire school year!- Looks so stylish. Everyone who knew I had an iPad was always commenting on what the new computer I was using and I would have to show them that it was still my iPad.- Very good coverage and protection. I wanted a snap on type of case, because I cringe at the thought of scratches on my iPad. This case covers all the edges and feels very sturdy and durable.- Keyboard is easy to use and not awkward. This was a main point that separated this case from others I had tested out in stores. Some of the ones I looked at had flimsy feeling keys, or they weren't centered like a normal keyboard, and would have felt so awkward to type on. This keyboard has a good feel when you press the keys, is arranged just like a normal MacBook keyboard with special function keys for the iPad doubled up on the numbers.- AMAZING battery life. This was another huge selling point for me. The keyboard only turns on when you are magnetically connected in the stand, so you can flip it over the keyboard to use as a tablet without hitting any keys. Also while you are in stand mode and watching videos or not using the keyboard, it automatically shuts the keyboard off until you hit a key again, and then the blue light flashes on the side and it becomes active again. I've had this case since January and charged it only twice, including the first charge after it came out of the box! As a college student who wrote a 40 page thesis and used the iPad in lieu of a computer, I can say the battery power is remarkable.- The different positions are useful, depending on what table or height you keep your iPad at. Usually i used the closest position to type, but the further was best for watching videos.- Pretty light and thin considering you have a full keyboard. Compared to my other cases, this was much lighter!Cons:- Sometimes the keys do repeat. For example, if I'm typing a word and I hit an "m", it might add "mmmmm" in the middle and I have to backspace. This is just a random thing, not specific to any one key. I also found that using a word processor like Word or the Notes app doesn't make that happen much, but sometimes on the Pages app or on websites it happens more, which makes me think its not as much an issue with the keyboard as it is an issue with how those particular apps work with Bluetooth.- Occasionally if you dislodge the magnetic strip (accidentally hit the iPad or something) it'll slide down and I'd always be scared of damaging keys. No problems there but it might be nice if the magnet was a tiny bit stronger, or there were 2. I think the version of this case for the iPad air has made that improvement.- For some reason, my Siri button would always turn on whenever I folded the iPad into tablet position. I'm not sure if it's how I fold it, but that can be annoying. I've learned it's best to dislodge the iPad from the magnet, wait 2 seconds for the keyboard to turn off, and then fold it over so even if you hit a key, the keyboard is already off.- The silver keyboard back is easily scratched. I didn't care too much because I got a full-coverage case to protect my iPad and take all the damage, but if you place your case on a rough surface, it'll get scratches and sort of looked rubbed off. I was pretty careful about wiping the surface down first but it would nice if it was more resistant, since the silver does look so pretty. All in all, hands down the best case I've had for my iPad (i've had an incase snap on with foldable cover, a Vera Bradley folio, and a sleeve with a cheap off-brand bluetooth keyboard) and I can't recommend it enough!
