When I got my iPad mini 6 a couple years ago I wanted a brand name pencil but not the expensive Apple one. Not sure if this was available then but I ended up with the one shaped like a carpenters pencil. It works BUT this ESR has so many advantages ( at a lower price point) mainly the fact it magnetically attaches to iPad and charges wirelessly. Also simply removing it turns it on instantly. As far as using it on the screen it’s great and has the second tip on top that does a few of the functions that the main tip doesn’t.Overall a great device at a great price
